As February ends.......
When February begins I feel that I can start to think ahead to summer – that there is less winter to go than has passed. It is a month to get out and ski and snow-shoe and skate – crisp cold days on icy ponds with grandchildren – reading on the couch in front of the fire, and family feasts when we all gather for the Family Day long weekend. A good month. And on into March as winter ends and the days get longer and we can really start getting excited about getting back out on the bay. I am ordering Christmas cards and 2014 calendars – and new toys – and books and books and books. Some exciting titles coming out this spring, including a new book from Shyam Selvadurai, The Hungry Ghosts, in April – if you have not read his earlier books, Funny Boy and Cinnamon Gardens now is the time – they are two of my all time favourites.
From now until the end of March we will keep the sale table loaded with non-fiction titles, adding new titles each week – all on sale, 3 for the price of 2.
