End of July 2014
Summer is half over - or there is still as much summer to come as has passed - positive or negative I'm not sure - I always feel a little frantic at the end of July when I realize that a month from now my business will once again change to that off season lull we live with - more or less - the rest of the year.
But, that being said, it has been a very good summer, so far, for this business and I thank you all for your support.
New in paperback this week are a few books that have been bestsellers in hardcover over the past year.
Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand "soon to be a motion picture" so even people who don't read will hear about it.
The Luminaries by Eleanor Catton - winner of the Booker and the GG - and one you'll either love or hate - read it to find out.
The War That Ended Peace by Margaret MacMillan - the years that come before Paris 1919.
So, another month of summer and dozens of new books arriving every day to keep us happy reading on the dock or on the rocks. Life is Perfect.
