The mornings are dark - and the afternoons too - but the shortest day of the year has past! We have decorated the store for Christmas in time for the Parry Sound Santa Claus parade this coming weekend. It is light and bright and festive in the store no matter what the weather outside.

New books arrive every day - including paperback editions of  The Sea Captain's Wife by Beth Powning, and Major Pettigrew's Last Stand - the story of a love affair between a retired British Major and a Pakistani shopkeeper, both families are scandalized.
